Grapevine's Halloween season stretches across all of October, with more than a dozen events aimed at adults and families alike.

The Grapevine Convention and Visitors Bureau released its 2026 Halloween guide on Thursday, Sept. 24, listing programming at venues across the city. Elizabeth Schrack, the bureau's director of communications, compiled the guide.

Adults-only highlights

The Witches' Brew Train on Grapevine Vintage Railroad is a 21-and-over craft brew excursion running Friday, Oct. 30, and Saturday, Oct. 31. The 90-minute round trip departs at 7:50 p.m. both nights. Tickets are $90 for a bench that seats two.

The Hallowine Trail follows on Saturday, Oct. 31, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., when participants visit six wineries in and around the Historic Main Street District, with each stop serving a flight of three wines paired with a food item. Advance tickets are $55 per person; door price is $60. Guests must be 21 or older.

That same evening, Meow Wolf hosts the Cosmic Howl, a 21-and-over Halloween party starting at 9 p.m. The CVB describes the event as featuring signature cocktails, costumes and four DJs. Tickets start at $38.

Earlier in the month, Harvest Hall's Third Rail bar transforms into Nightmare on Main Street, a Halloween pop-up with seasonal cocktails and live music throughout October. A dueling-pianos show called Ghoul-ing Pianos plays there Friday, Oct. 2, from 7 to 10 p.m.

Messina Hof Grapevine Winery hosts a Rest in Cheese Charcuterie Class on Saturday, Oct. 24, from 1 to 3 p.m. Guests build coffin-shaped charcuterie boxes for $40 per person.

Family-friendly events

Trick 'R Treat Trains on Grapevine Vintage Railroad run Saturday, Oct. 24, and Sunday, Oct. 25. Saturday's train departs at 10:40 a.m.; Sunday departures are at 12:40 and 2:40 p.m. Children receive a bag of treats and hear an interactive story on board. Tickets are $22 per person.

Brick-Or-Treat at LEGOLAND Discovery Center inside Grapevine Mills runs daily in October from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tickets start at $19.59.

Great Wolf Lodge's Howl-O-Ween runs through Saturday, Oct. 31, and is included with a lodge stay. Activities include a daily trick-or-treat trail, Monster Bash Dance Parties and Boo Bingo.

Bewitched by the Barn at Historic Nash Farm is Friday, Oct. 30, from 7 to 9 p.m. Visitors come in costume and listen to spooky tales. Tickets are $5 per person for ages 3 and up.

Pumpkins, movies and more

PumpkinFest at Meadowmere Park runs Friday, Oct. 9, through Sunday, Oct. 18, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Admission is $20 per car. Hall's Pumpkin Farm opens Friday, Oct. 2, through Sunday, Nov. 1, with a corn maze, hayrides and a pumpkin patch.

Vetro Glassblowing Studio & Gallery offers a "Help Create Your Own Pumpkin" experience on Fridays and Saturdays in October for $65 per person. Participants must be 12 or older.

The Historic Palace Theatre at 300 South Main St. screens Halloween movies throughout October. Frankenstein (1931) plays Friday, Oct. 2, at 7:30 p.m., and Hocus Pocus (1993) plays Friday, Oct. 9, at 7:30 p.m. On Saturday, Oct. 31, The Nightmare Before Christmas screens at 11 a.m. and Young Frankenstein at 2 p.m. Classic movie tickets are $6.

The Grapevine Library wraps its 2026 park storytime series with a Halloween special at Heritage Park, 201 Ball St., on Saturday, Oct. 31, from 10 a.m. to noon. Costumes are encouraged.
