What was at stake
Tarrant County Criminal Court-at-Law No. 6 is one of 10 criminal courts in the county that handle misdemeanor-level cases, according to the Fort Worth Report.
Each judge serves a four-year term and must be a licensed attorney who has practiced in Texas for at least four years.
Under Hartin, Court 6 transitioned in 2023 into the county's second misdemeanor domestic violence court, according to Hartin's campaign website.
