Republican William P. “Bill” Brandt is seeking reelection as Tarrant County Justice of the Peace for Precinct 3 on Nov. 3, 2026. The certified ballot lists him as the only named candidate for that office.

Experience and education

His county biography says he was elected in 2018 and introduced a mediation program that year. His fellow Tarrant County justices elected him administrative judge in 2019, and he joined the Bail Bond Board in 2023.

Brandt graduated from Grapevine High School and the U.S. Air Force Academy, where he studied history and general engineering. The biography lists an MBA from the University of Phoenix in 2000 and a law degree from Texas A&M University in 2016.

It describes nine years of active-duty Air Force service followed by 21 years in the Reserve, and a 28-year FedEx flying career ending with his retirement as a captain in 2018. He has lived in Southlake since 1988.
