Grapevine is getting a new Mexican restaurant just ahead of GrapeFest.
Vidorra, a modern Mexican street-food concept from Dallas-based Milkshake Concepts, will open its fifth location at 700 W. State Hwy. 114 on Monday, Aug. 31. The 7,879-square-foot freestanding building last housed Hoffbrau Steak & Grill House, which closed in February 2024.
"We're incredibly excited to introduce Vidorra to the Grapevine community and open our fifth location," co-founder and CEO Imran Sheikh said in a statement, according to Community Impact. "Grapevine has such a distinctive personality, bringing together residents, travelers and families throughout the year."
The name fits. "Vidorra" translates from Spanish as "the good life," and the menu leans into that promise. Diners can expect street tacos, fajitas, aguachile, housemade guacamole and a signature Parrillada en Fuego, an assortment of grilled meats, shrimp, nopales and peppers served tableside in a sizzling molcajete. The drink list includes handcrafted margaritas and a Soft Serve Margarita that blends frozen margarita with creamy soft serve ice cream.
Weekend brunch will feature chilaquiles, breakfast tacos, pan dulce French toast and tableside mimosas.
The interior, according to CultureMap Fort Worth, will include lush greenery, stone sculptures, warm lighting, expansive bar seating and private event spaces.
Sheikh, along with co-owners James Faller and Asim Sheikh, opened the first Vidorra in Deep Ellum in 2018. The group has since expanded to Addison, Grand Prairie, Rockwall and Nashville. Milkshake Concepts' broader portfolio includes Harper's Steakhouse, The Finch and Serious Pizza.
The Grapevine location was first announced in June 2025. The building at 700 W. State Hwy. 114 was originally built in 1991 and previously operated as a Romano's Macaroni Grill before cycling through Brick House Tavern & Tap and Hoffbrau.
The Monday, Aug. 31 opening lands 17 days before GrapeFest 2026, the Southwest's largest wine festival, which returns to Historic Main Street from Sept. 17–20 for its 40th anniversary. General admission tickets are $12 for adults and $6 for seniors and children ages 6–12 when purchased online; admission is free on Thursday and on Friday until 5 p.m.
