Barry's, the boutique fitness chain, plans to open a studio in Southlake's Park Village shopping center in late October.
The studio will occupy Suite 170 at 1081 E. Southlake Blvd., Community Impact Newspaper reported. Memberships are on sale, and the location is offering a free first class for new members.
Barry's is known for its 50-minute group workouts that combine high-intensity cardio with strength training inside dimly red-lit studios the company calls the "Red Room." Company staff told Community Impact the sessions pair instructor-led routines with music selected for each class.
The Southlake studio will include a shop, changing rooms, hot showers, complimentary towels and lockers, according to the studio's page on barrys.com. Barry's Dallas location on McKinney Avenue also features a Fuel Bar serving pre- and post-workout shakes, locker rooms stocked with Dyson hair dryers and OUAI grooming products.
It is not yet clear whether the Southlake location will offer the same Fuel Bar setup.
Barry Jay, John Mumford and Rachel Mumford co-founded the company in West Hollywood in 1998 under the name Barry's Bootcamp. The chain rebranded to Barry's in 2019. As of 2025, it operated about 89 studios across 15 countries, according to Wikipedia. In January 2025, private equity firm Princeton Equity Group announced a strategic investment in the company.
Barry's opened its first Dallas-area studio on McKinney Avenue in 2017. The Southlake location will be its second in the metro area.
Park Village has added new tenants since retail real estate firm Fifth Corner purchased the center in 2024. Hudson House, a seafood and cocktail restaurant, opened in the former RA Sushi space in mid-September. The center's directory also lists REI, West Elm, Sur La Table and Dallas Running Company among its tenants.
In a July statement to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, Fifth Corner said Hudson House's arrival reflects continued momentum at Park Village and the firm's long-term vision for the center, which it described as bringing together "best-in-class brands."
No specific opening date within late October has been announced. Membership pricing has not been disclosed. Class schedules and membership details are listed at barrys.com.
