Colleyville families can tour fire trucks, watch demonstrations and meet local firefighters at a free open house Saturday, Oct. 3.
The Colleyville Fire Department will open the doors of its Central Fire Station, 5209 Colleyville Blvd., from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. for the event, according to the city's special events calendar.
Activities include station tours, fire safety education, interactive demonstrations and a chance to explore fire trucks and equipment up close.
The city said the event will also feature games and activities for kids.
The Colleyville Citizens Fire Academy Alumni Association, a group that supports the department, will provide food and beverages.
The event is free and open to the public, according to the city. No registration is listed.
The open house is one of several community events Colleyville has lined up this fall.
The department is also offering a free CPR class at the same station on Thursday, Sept. 17, from 4 to 5 p.m.
