Garages of America has announced plans for a 92,000-square-foot luxury garage community with retail storefronts and dining at the corner of John McCain Road and Colleyville Boulevard.
No Colleyville city permit filings or zoning approvals for the project have surfaced in public records, according to a Southlake Style report published July 11, 2026.
The four-building complex would include 47 individually owned garage suites, seven flex office and warehouse spaces, and street-facing retail along Colleyville Boulevard. The company says it would be its first Tarrant County project and the first of its developments anywhere to incorporate shopping and dining into the garage-condo model.
Co-founders Fred Gans, a real estate investor, and Jack Griffin, a former Le Mans race car driver turned developer, started the company in 2014 and opened their first community in Plano in 2016.
The company says it has sold more than 700 luxury garages across the Dallas-Fort Worth area, Austin, and Houston.
The Colleyville suites are pitched at car collectors, hobbyists, and entrepreneurs. Owners could convert units into showrooms for exotic or classic cars, workshops, entertainment spaces, or personal retreats. Amenities listed include 24/7 gated access, optional climate-controlled units, and community gathering spaces.
Two of the four buildings would house the garage suites. The remaining two would hold flex office space and retail storefronts facing Colleyville Boulevard.
The company's website lists the project as opening in the fourth quarter of 2027 and says reservations are open, with pricing still to come. No construction start date has been announced.
The project lands in an increasingly crowded luxury-garage corridor. WorldClass Garages is developing 36 garage condos at 890 Davis Blvd. in Southlake, with a sign variance heard by the Southlake Sign Board on Jan. 8, 2026.
Separately, Enki Development announced a 49-unit luxury garage project in Colleyville in April 2025, with units available for lease and priced between $150,000 and $575,000.
That gives northeast Tarrant County at least three luxury garage developments in the pipeline within a few miles of one another.
Garages of America's existing North Texas communities are sold out. Its newest available projects elsewhere include Frisco Phase II, starting in the mid-$400,000s, and Carrollton Phase II, starting in the low $300,000s, according to the company's listings page. Pricing for the Colleyville suites has not been released.
