A pink Victorian house on East Worth Street is now Grapevine's newest winery.
Housewife Rebellion, a combined tasting room and art gallery at 211 E. Worth Street, opens Thursday, Sept. 17, the same day the 40th annual GrapeFest kicks off on Historic Main Street.
Owner and artist Nicole Heere transformed the 1880s house into a space painted pink inside and out, filled with her original oil paintings and wine bottles displayed in a vintage jewelry case.
"My biggest rebellion is drinking wine," Heere said in a Grapevine Convention & Visitors Bureau announcement. "I'm a busy wife and mom. That's just how it is!"
The winery's motto: "Because Mommy Needs a Break."
Heere's wines are made with Texas High Plains grapes, and every bottle carries her custom artwork on the label. The lineup has already earned recognition. Housewife Rebellion's Pinot Grigio and Rebel Rosé both earned Gold medals at the 2025 People's Choice Wine Tasting Classic, according to the CVB announcement. The winery plans to enter the 2026 competition at this year's GrapeFest, with winners to be announced Sunday, Sept. 20, at 5 p.m.
Inside, guests can sit at hand-painted tables with charcuterie and sip wine flights served on custom-made artist's palettes. The bathrooms feature wallpaper inspired by Frida Kahlo and Georgia O'Keeffe, Art Nouveau vanities and gold swan faucets.
Heere plans to host Real Housewives watch parties and "Moms' Day Out (of Patience)" events. Sports are off the menu.
The tasting room joins Grapevine's Urban Wine Trail and will be open Thursdays through Sundays.
GrapeFest runs Sept. 17 through 20 on Historic Main Street. The festival, which hosts what organizers call the largest consumer-judged wine tasting competition in the nation, draws more than 225,000 visitors over four days of tastings, live entertainment and competition, according to the city's GrapeFest page. When the first GrapeFest was held in 1987, 700 people attended and six wineries poured.
