A specialty butcher shop selling wagyu beef, housemade sausage and hot meals opens Friday, Sept. 18, in Southlake.

New York Butcher Shoppe will occupy Suite 14 at Southlake Marketplace, 2001 W. Southlake Blvd., at the southeast corner of Southlake Boulevard and Davis Boulevard.

The shopping center sits at one of the city's busiest intersections, with more than 50,000 vehicles passing daily and Carroll High School nearby, according to commercial property records.

The store is the second franchise location for co-owners Ruth and Bryson Nokes, a Colleyville couple who already run a shop at 3855 Glade Road in Colleyville, Hoodline reported.

The Southlake store will carry high-choice and prime Certified Angus Beef, wagyu beef, pork, chicken and housemade sausage, according to Community Impact. Rotating seafood options, including crab cakes, round out the meat case. The shop also stocks wine and specialty grocery items.

The location will serve hot meals six days a week and offer catering, online ordering and delivery, Community Impact reported. Nokes told the outlet the store aims to help customers plan complete meals, stocking complementary items alongside its meat case.

The chain, founded in 1999 in South Carolina, now lists about 42 locations across 10 states on its website. In April, the company announced a strategic investment from The Foundry Group to fund expansion into Virginia, Maryland and South Florida, according to Meat+Poultry.

That deal would bring the chain's total to about 50 locations.
