Oktoberfest Southlake opens its 25th year at Southlake Town Square on Friday, Oct. 16, with free admission, three days of live music and the return of the Wiener Dog Race.

The festival, one of the largest three-day events in the area, runs through Sunday, Oct. 18. The Southlake Chamber of Commerce hosts the celebration, which draws more than 100,000 visitors a year, according to the event's official website. Admission and parking are free all three days.

Mayor Shawn McCaskill and Southlake Chamber of Commerce President Mark Guilbert spotlighted the anniversary in the latest SLK City Spotlight, a city video series, as reported by My Southlake News.

McCaskill previewed the opening night lineup on X on Oct. 12: a ceremonial keg tapping at 5 p.m. Friday, followed by 90 Proof Country at 5:30 p.m., Ashmore at 7:30 p.m. and AC/DC tribute band Back in Black at 9:30 p.m. Music plays across three stages throughout the weekend.
