Bucketheads, a family-owned clothing and gift boutique based in West Texas, has opened its first DFW-area store inside Stacy's Furniture on South Main Street in Grapevine.

The Grapevine shop at 1900 S. Main St. is the chain's third location, joining existing stores in Abilene and Lubbock, as first reported by Community Impact Newspaper. The boutique sells men's, women's and children's clothing, shoes from brands including Back 70 and Birkenstock, plus home decor, jewelry and gifts.

The store is already open.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled for 3 p.m. Friday, Oct. 23, according to Leasha Noblitt, Bucketheads' marketing and operations coordinator. The business plans to celebrate its grand opening weekend with food, giveaways and other surprises, Noblitt told Community Impact.

The setup is a store-within-a-store, with Bucketheads occupying space inside the Stacy's Furniture building at the south end of Grapevine's Main Street shopping district. The Grapevine Edit, a local shopping blog, confirmed the store had opened and described it as carrying women's fashion among its offerings.

Bucketheads got its start on Black Friday 2009, when the founders opened a small store at the Mall of Abilene with less than a week's notice on a six-week lease, according to the company's website. The brand grew from that scrappy beginning. Its Abilene flagship later moved to 4801 Buffalo Gap Road, and a second location opened in Lubbock in July 2018 at 2910 W. Loop 289.

The Grapevine expansion marks the chain's first push into the Dallas-Fort Worth market, more than 180 miles east of its Abilene roots.

In an email to Community Impact in August, Noblitt described the brand's approach: "We're a family-owned business built on great style and a desire to help our customers find something they love."

Residents can visit the store at 1900 S. Main St. ahead of the Oct. 23 ribbon-cutting, with grand opening weekend festivities to follow.
