Southlake Carroll will wear new all-white uniforms for the 2026 season after being retained in Patrick Mahomes' expanding adidas Gladiator program.
According to Southlake Style, the Dragons are one of 28 high school football programs nationwide, and one of six Texas schools, selected for the program's second year. Carroll, Whitehouse and Longview were the only three Texas schools in the inaugural 15-team cohort in 2025. Carthage, South Oak Cliff and Vandegrift join the Texas contingent as new additions for 2026.
The new uniforms draw from Texas Tech's "Too Cold" look, which debuted during the 2025 college season as a tribute to Mahomes' signature style. Each kit features the Gladiator logo, a fusion of the letters P and M that connects the high school programs to the brand Mahomes has built with adidas.
The look is all white.
Mahomes, the three-time Super Bowl champion and Kansas City Chiefs quarterback who grew up in Whitehouse, hand-selected the participating schools. When Carroll ISD first announced the partnership in October 2025, head coach and athletic director Riley Dodge called it a reflection of the program's standards.
"We're honored to be in the company of other top-tier teams and we appreciate the partnership with the Mahomes brand," Dodge said at the time. "This recognition reflects the commitment and hard work of our athletes and community."
The programs will reveal their uniforms on the field during the 2026 season. Carroll's first opportunity comes Thursday, Aug. 27, when the Dragons open against Jenks, Oklahoma, at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas.
Carroll is ranked No. 20 in USA TODAY's Super 25 national preseason poll. The 7 p.m. kickoff, billed as the inaugural "State Line Showdown," features two programs loaded with future Power Four talent. Receivers Blake Gunter and Brody Knowles headline Carroll's roster.
Beyond game day, Carroll has a dedicated adidas x Mahomes Brand store offering Mahomes-branded Dragon apparel to fans. According to Carroll ISD, a portion of proceeds from the collection supports Dragon athletics directly.
The full 28-school program spans 14 states, with schools stretching from Bergen Catholic in New Jersey to Corona Centennial in California. Carroll remains the only program from the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex on the list.
