A free fall garden-prep workshop is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 5, at the Colleyville Public Library.
The one-hour class runs from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in Meeting Room B at 110 Main St. The City of Colleyville and the Tarrant Regional Water District (TRWD) are co-hosting the session, which covers soil amendments, bed preparation, pruning, garden planning and design, and techniques for easier maintenance in North Texas landscapes.
The workshop is part of a series of gardening programs the library offers in partnership with TRWD. Some classes in the series are taught by a Tarrant County Master Gardener, according to the library's event listing.
The class is open to adults 18 and older. A Colleyville Public Library card is required to register. Registration closes at 11:30 a.m. on Sept. 5.
Residents can register online at the library's event calendar or call 817-503-1155 for more information. TRWD lists additional water-conservation events at SaveTarrantWater.com/events.
