Grapevine's Parks and Recreation Department is closing out its month-long Parks & Recreation Month celebration this Thursday, with free and low-cost activities still scheduled every day through the end of the series.
The department has programmed an event or activity for each day of July, according to the city's official calendar at GoGrapevine.com.
The offerings span fitness classes, family game nights, movie nights, outdoor adventures, and live entertainment. Times, locations, and fees vary by event.
Two confirmed final-week programs give families a reason to mark the calendar.
Music with Mr. Alfonso
On July 28 at 2:30 p.m., a Grapevine Parks and Recreation session led by Mr. Alfonso features drum circles, Boomwhackers, ukuleles, and group singing. The city's event listing bills it as a way to "get out of the heat."
