Hotel Vin wants to add a seasonal greenhouse and a winter vestibule to its property in historic downtown Grapevine.

Coury Hospitality, which operates the boutique hotel at 215 E. Dallas Road and 815 S. Main St., filed zoning case CU26-30 with the city, according to a public notice published in classified legal ads. Tina Newton, with Coury Hospitality, submitted the application.

The proposal calls for two temporary, seasonal additions to Hotel Vin and Harvest Hall.

A winter vestibule would go at the northeastern entry door to Harvest Hall, the 22,000-square-foot food hall connected to the hotel. A greenhouse structure would run along the hotel's northern side.

Coury Hospitality is also asking the city to allow possession, storage, retail sales and on-site consumption of beer, wine and mixed beverages inside the greenhouse.

The Grapevine City Council and Planning and Zoning Commission will hold a joint public hearing on the request on Oct. 20 at 7:30 p.m. in the City Council Chambers on the second floor of 200 S. Main St.

The property sits on land owned by the city and is zoned "GU," or Governmental Use District. Hotel Vin already operates under a conditional use permit, CU17-20, which allowed the hotel and restaurant to serve alcohol on site.

Hotel Vin opened in September 2020 as part of Marriott's Autograph Collection. The six-story property has 120 guest rooms.

Dining venues include Bacchus Kitchen + Bar, Harvest Hall, Rioja Rooftop Terrace and two speakeasies. Richard Wales, the hotel's general manager, also serves as board chair for the Grapevine Chamber of Commerce.

The hotel and the broader Grapevine Main development won the ICSC Excellence in Community Advancement Award in May 2026. Wales, speaking at the ICSC trade show in Las Vegas that month, called the project "a little bit of a catalyst to development in Grapevine," according to Grapevine's economic development office.

The public notice describes the greenhouse and vestibule as "temporary, seasonal" but does not specify which months they would operate. Exact dimensions and design details are not included in the notice. A copy of the site plan is on file with the city's Planning Services Department, which residents can reach at 817-410-3155.

Coming up: The joint public hearing on Hotel Vin's greenhouse and vestibule proposal is Oct. 20 at 7:30 p.m. at Grapevine City Hall, 200 S. Main St.
