Hudson House is serving burgers, sushi and its signature "World's Coldest Martini" at Southlake's Park Village shopping center, filling the space RA Sushi held for about a decade.
The restaurant's menu features a raw bar with oysters flown in daily from the East Coast, according to Community Impact Newspaper. Hudson House originally opened in Highland Park in 2017 and has locations in Frisco, Addison and Las Colinas.
Hunter Pond, founder and chairman of parent company Vandelay Companies, said in a September news release that "Southlake has the combination of energy, growth and appreciation for hospitality that we look for when entering a new neighborhood."
California-based Hydration Room also chose Southlake for its first Texas location. The IV therapy company, which operates more than 65 clinics in California, is open at 1161 E. Southlake Blvd., Suite 280, according to Southlake Style. Physicians designed the treatment protocols, and registered nurses administer services including immune-support IVs and vitamin B12 injections. Patients receive a complimentary consultation with a nurse practitioner.
The openings are part of a broader stretch of new business across northeast Tarrant County.
In Grapevine, professional artist Nicole Heere opened Housewife Rebellion, an art gallery and wine tasting room near Main Street. Heere's paintings hang in the tasting room and appear on the labels of wines sold there, alongside offerings like pink glitter lemonade and charcuterie. Two of those wines, Rebel Rosé and Pinot Grigio, won gold at the 2025 People's Choice Wine Tasting Classic at GrapeFest. The business will join Grapevine's Urban Wine Trail, Community Impact reported.
"I wanted to create a place where you can walk through the door, have a glass of wine and just be you for a while," Heere said.
Colleyville gained NeuroSync Diagnostics, an ambulatory EEG provider founded by neurologist Dr. Babak Rezaei. Patients wear electrodes for 48 to 96 hours so brain activity can be recorded across different environments, improving diagnostic accuracy.
Other arrivals include Game Show Studio inside Red Door Escape Room in Southlake, where groups of up to 16 compete in game-show challenges for $37.95 per person. Bucketheads, a clothing and home-decor boutique with stores in Abilene and Lubbock, opened in Grapevine and plans a ribbon-cutting at 3 p.m. Oct. 23, according to marketing coordinator Leasha Noblitt.
Not all the news is growth. Rio Mambo Tex Mex y Mas in Colleyville closed after landlord Brent Johnson of FIFTYONE Fifty Properties said the restaurant was first locked out Aug. 27, briefly reopened through negotiations, then was locked out again Aug. 31. Johnson blamed financial struggles at California-based Xperience Restaurant Group, which acquired Rio Mambo in 2023. The Colleyville location had operated since 2005, and Johnson said locations in Burleson, Weatherford and Fort Worth also closed.
Fitness brand Barry's is selling memberships ahead of a planned Park Village location in Southlake, though no opening date has been set.
