Southlake golfers will have a new 24/7 option to work on their swing starting Saturday, Aug. 29, when The Back Nine Golf opens at 500 W. Southlake Blvd., Suite 120.

The indoor golf simulator franchise is hosting a grand opening event from noon to 5 p.m. that day, according to Community Impact.

Co-owner Reagan Bluth, who is based in Southlake, said the facility targets golfers who want more than a typical driving range or entertainment venue. Bluth told Community Impact that area golfers have shown they want a private, high-quality indoor experience close to home, whether to sharpen their game or gather with friends and family.

"We think Southlake is exactly that kind of community," Bluth said.

The venue will feature three private, sound-insulated bays, each with seating for four. Each bay is quiet.

The bays use Full Swing simulators, the same technology used by PGA Tour professionals including Tiger Woods, Jordan Spieth and Xander Schauffele. Full Swing is the officially licensed simulator for the PGA Tour and powers TGL, the primetime indoor team golf league on ESPN. Its course library includes more than 50 layouts, among them Pebble Beach, the Old Course at St. Andrews and TPC Sawgrass.

The simulators track swing speed, launch angles and ball speed as players hit into a projector screen, giving users tour-level data on every shot.

How booking works

Memberships are not required to book a tee time at the Southlake location, according to the venue's website. Members, however, get 24/7 access via a phone-based entry code, unlimited tee times, the ability to bring guests and discounts on merchandise. Corporate packages are also available.

At comparable Back Nine Golf locations, the most popular membership tier starts around $200 per month. Southlake-specific pricing has not been confirmed.

The franchise does not offer food or beverage service, but golfers can bring their own refreshments.

Already in the neighborhood

The Southlake opening adds to an existing Back Nine Golf footprint in northeast Tarrant County. The franchise already operates locations in Colleyville at 5600 Colleyville Blvd., Suite G, and in Keller at 721 Keller Pkwy., Suite 111.

Tee times for the Southlake location will be available at thebackninegolf.com/local/southlake-tx once the facility opens.
