Grapevine's Historic Nash Farm is selling tickets to its annual Harvest Moon Supper, a three-course outdoor dinner set for Sept. 26, at 7 p.m. in the farm's pasture at 626 Ball St.
Tickets cost $100 per person and include a three-course meal paired with Texas wine. The event is for guests 21 and older, and tickets must be purchased in advance through GrapevineTicketLine.com. They are non-refundable.
The specific menu has not yet been announced. According to the event listing on GrapevineTexasUSA.com, the courses will honor the season's abundance, and ticket revenue supports Nash Farm's educational programs.
The supper takes place rain or shine.
The event draws its name from the agricultural tradition of harvesting crops by the light of the full moon closest to the autumn equinox, when bright moonlight let farmers work their fields after dark for three consecutive nights.
Nash Farm, founded in 1859, is a 5.2-acre site centered on the house, barn and family cemetery built by Thomas Nash in 1869. It is one of the oldest working farmsteads in Tarrant County.
The Harvest Moon Supper falls six days after GrapeFest wraps up Sept. 20, giving residents another ticketed evening to mark on the late-September calendar.
