Southlake's Planning and Zoning Commission will take up three zoning cases with public hearings at its Nov. 5 meeting at Town Hall.

The cases include a specific-use permit for an auto dealership on Greenwood Drive, a rezoning request on North White Chapel Boulevard and a plat revision in the Bridlegate area. All three hearings are open to public comment.

DS Auto Sales seeks permit on Greenwood Drive

DS Auto Sales is requesting a specific-use permit for automobile sales and service at 2055 Greenwood Drive, according to the city's meeting agenda. The property, listed as Lot 2, Block B of the North Davis Business Park Addition, is currently zoned I-1 Light Industrial.

DS Auto Sales is listed as both the applicant and property owner. The case number is ZA26-0066, and it falls within SPIN Neighborhood #10.

The agenda does not detail the number of vehicles, proposed hours of operation or site layout for the dealership.

City seeks rezoning on White Chapel Boulevard

The City of Southlake is the applicant on a request to rezone 4060 N. White Chapel Blvd. from SF-30 Single Family Residential to SF-1A Single Family Residential.

The property owner is listed as Amanda Hellman. The case, ZA26-0075, falls within SPIN Neighborhood #1.

SF-1A zoning requires a minimum one-acre lot, according to WillowTree Custom Homes, a Southlake-area builder.

The rezoning would increase the minimum lot size from the current SF-30 standard. The city's own zoning ordinance was not available for independent confirmation of those figures.

The agenda does not explain why the city, rather than the property owner, filed the rezoning application.

Bridlegate plat revision

The commission will also consider a plat revision for Bridlegate at 4000 N. White Chapel Blvd., case ZA26-0072. The property is described as Lot 2R of the R.D. Price No. 992 Addition and is currently zoned SF-1A. Spry Surveyors is the applicant.

Property owners are Frank Viola and Christopher Lamon. The case falls within SPIN Neighborhood #1.
