Toys "R" Us has moved again inside Grapevine Mills, settling into Suite 431 after relocating across the hall from its previous spot.

The shift marks the second time the store has changed locations within the mall this year, Community Impact Newspaper reported Tuesday, Sept. 1. The store previously occupied Suite 500.

Store manager Ragan Duffourc said the new space was open but still waiting on graphics and signage as of Sept. 1.

Duffourc expected those to be installed by the end of that week, meaning shoppers visiting the store now may see a more finished look.

"A lack of specific space requirements and portable shelves makes relocating easy," Duffourc told Community Impact.

The store sells toys and games along with pop culture merchandise and collectibles such as Pokémon cards and NeeDohs.

Toys "R" Us first returned to Grapevine Mills about four months before its first in-mall move, which Community Impact reported Feb. 11.

The brand's original Grapevine Mills location had closed in 2018. That timeline means the current Suite 431 space is the store's third spot inside the mall since its comeback.

The Grapevine Mills store is one of a growing number of locations nationwide. WHP Global acquired a controlling stake in the Toys "R" Us brand in March 2021 after the retailer filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in 2017 and shuttered more than 700 U.S. stores the following year.

The brand's website now lists more than 30 standalone and flagship locations, in addition to a presence inside Macy's stores, according to Fox Business.

Toys "R" Us also operates a store at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport, according to Retail Dive.

For Grapevine Mills shoppers, the practical upshot is simple: the store is open in Suite 431 and stocked with merchandise. Duffourc did not indicate whether another move is planned.
