Colleyville seniors can grab a friend and spend an afternoon playing bingo, eating a catered lunch, and competing for door prizes at the city's 3rd Annual Senior Citizens Day Celebration on Friday, Aug. 14.
The celebration is organized with support from the Colleyville Chamber's Serving Our Community Seniors group, known as SOCS. Colleyville Parks & Recreation posted the event details on its official Instagram account, directing residents to call (817) 503-1195 or visit colleyvilleparksandrec.com/senior-center to register.
Winners at the event will take home Colleyville Gift Cards and other door prizes. The afternoon also includes games beyond bingo, according to the event announcement.
The event runs from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Colleyville Senior Center, 2512 Glade Road. Admission is $10 per person. Preregistration is required.
The event is open to the public and not restricted to Senior Center members. The announcement encourages attendees to bring a friend.
Colleyville's celebration falls one week before National Senior Citizens Day, observed annually on Friday, Aug. 21.
The SOCS group has another community event on the calendar: Music in the Park on Thursday, Oct. 15 from 10 a.m. to noon.
