Families with young PAW Patrol fans can score free movie tickets at the Grapevine Public Library next week.

The library is hosting a PAW Patrol Storytime on August 4 at 11 a.m. at 1201 Municipal Way, Grapevine. The event is free, and no registration is listed on the city's event page.

Attendees can enter a drawing to win tickets to PAW Patrol: The Dino Movie, which opens in U.S. theaters Friday, August 14.

The city posted the event July 29, describing it as a special storytime for PAW Patrol fans with a chance to win advance movie tickets.

The listing does not specify how many tickets will be given away or whether crafts, costumes, or other activities are planned beyond the reading.

In the upcoming film, the PAW Patrol pups crash-land on an uncharted tropical island filled with dinosaurs after their ship gets caught in a mysterious storm. The movie ticket drawing gives families a head start on seeing it before the August 14 wide release.

More library programs this summer

The PAW Patrol event is part of a broader slate of children's programming the Grapevine Library Outreach Team runs from March through October. The team takes storytimes out of the building and into neighborhood parks throughout the season.
