Families looking to cool off have one more shot at Grapevine's Summer Splash Bash, a free Sunday evening event featuring splash pads, bounce houses, foam machines, and a live DJ at Peace Plaza on Historic Main Street.

The final session runs from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday, July 26, at Peace Plaza, 815 S. Main St., outside Harvest Hall at Grapevine Main Station. No tickets or registration required. The Grapevine Convention & Visitors Bureau, which organizes the event, encourages attendees to bring their own towels.

The series launched in early July, with sessions running each Sunday evening at the permanent splash pad area at Peace Plaza. Randall Sweet of the Grapevine Convention & Visitors Bureau described the series as offering "a fun and refreshing way to spend Sunday evenings in July."

Peace Plaza's splash pad is open year-round, but the seasonal additions of bounce houses, a DJ, and foam machines are exclusive to the Summer Splash Bash series.

The event is free and geared toward families with young children, though all ages are welcome.
