Grapevine residents can dine outdoors under the harvest moon on Saturday, Sept. 26, when Historic Nash Farm hosts its Harvest Moon Supper in the pasture at 626 Ball St.

Tickets cost $100 per person and include a three-course meal. The event begins at 7 p.m. and is restricted to guests 21 and older.

The dinner draws on the farming tradition of harvesting crops by moonlight. Each fall, the harvest moon rises bright enough for farmers to work their fields after dark.

Nash Farm, founded in 1859, is one of the oldest working farmsteads in Tarrant County, according to the Grapevine Convention & Visitors Bureau.

The menu opens with a charcuterie board of prosciutto, salami, ham, cheddar, Havarti and Gouda cheeses, olives, strawberries and grapes.

The entrée is beef and grilled chicken skewers with peppers, onions, mushrooms and grape tomatoes, served with chimichurri sauce.

Sides include roasted root vegetable salad, cranberry wild rice medley and dinner rolls with infused butter. Dessert is apple cider gingerbread bundt cake and chocolate lava cake.

Ticket sales support the farm's educational programs, according to the city's event listing. Tickets must be purchased in advance and are non-refundable. The supper takes place rain or shine.

The farm, part of Grapevine's city government, is open Tuesday through Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. with free admission during regular hours.

It also hosts seasonal events including First Fridays at Nash Farm, Spring Into Nash and the Fall Round-Up.
