Omaha Steaks opened its first Grapevine retail store on State Highway 114, giving area shoppers a walk-in option for the mail-order steak company's beef, seafood and prepared meals.

The store at 1469 W. SH-114, Suite 600, began serving customers Sept. 4, Community Impact reported. The company held a grand opening celebration Tuesday, Sept. 29, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. with giveaways, complimentary snacks and refreshments, according to an Omaha Steaks press release.

A Grapevine Chamber of Commerce ribbon-cutting ceremony took place at 11:30 a.m. that day.

Grapevine is the company's third Texas location. The other two stores are in Houston's Town & Country Village and at Polo Towne Crossing in Plano.

The store sells flash-frozen steaks, burgers, seafood, chicken and pork along with freezer-to-oven meals, sides and desserts. It also offers same-day or next-day delivery within a 75-mile radius, according to Southlake Style. Customers can also order online for in-store pickup.

"We're excited to bring Omaha Steaks to the Grapevine community and make it even easier for customers to enjoy our premium proteins," CEO Nate Rempe said in the press release.

The Grapevine opening is part of a broader push by the Omaha, Nebraska-based company. Founded in 1917, Omaha Steaks is a fifth-generation, family-owned business known primarily for shipping beef to customers' doors.

Rempe, the company's first outside CEO since taking the role in November 2023, announced a business overhaul Sept. 10 that sharpens the company's focus on U.S.-sourced beef hand-cut by butchers in Omaha. The company also increased customization in its product packages, according to a separate press release.

The plan calls for doubling the retail footprint over the next two years, with an eventual goal of 80 stores nationwide, Rempe told CNN in a report published by Yahoo Finance. Each new location doubles as a local fulfillment hub.

The company said it cut average delivery times from more than six days in early 2025 to two days as of September.

The Grapevine store is at 1469 W. SH-114, Suite 600. Customers can shop in person or order for pickup and local delivery.
