Hudson House will open Friday, Sept. 11, at Park Village in Southlake, ending months of delays for the seafood and sushi restaurant.

The Vandelay Companies concept will take over the former RA Sushi space at 1131 E. Southlake Blvd., next door to Gloria's.

The roughly 5,000-square-foot restaurant features warm leather booths, a wraparound bar, a sit-down raw bar and an outdoor patio, Southlake Style reported.

The opening had been pushed back from its original summer timeline.

As we reported Wednesday, Sept. 2, the restaurant's target had slipped to late September or early October.

The Sept. 11 date falls ahead of that revised estimate.

Hunter Pond, founder of Vandelay Companies, pointed to the area's appeal.

"Southlake has the combination of energy, growth and appreciation for hospitality that we look for when entering a new neighborhood," Pond told Southlake Style.

The menu centers on seafood, sushi and classic American dishes. Southlake Style described the lineup as including East Coast oysters, Hudson's Avocado Dip, The Cheeseburger, Chicken Parm and the Hudson Salad.

The raw bar and sushi menu are a major draw.

The cocktail list features what the restaurant calls the "World's Coldest Martini," a Grey Goose vodka drink served on tap and chilled to 10 degrees.

Other options include the Bleu & Gold martini, Lemon Drop, Espresso Martini and Frozen Bellini.

The space was gutted. Southlake Mayor Shawn McCaskill said the former RA Sushi interior was completely torn out to prepare for Hudson House, according to a Fort Worth Star-Telegram report published in July.

Fifth Corner, the retail real estate company that purchased Park Village in 2024, told the Star-Telegram at the time that it views Hudson House as part of the center's long-term growth.

Vandelay Companies, also the parent of Drake's Hollywood, El Molino and Anchor Sushi Bar, opened its original Hudson House in Highland Park nearly a decade ago.

The Southlake location adds to a growing roster across the DFW Metroplex.
